Since the beginning, Otis shows have been a modern West Coast take on the high intensity Stax Revue which roared through Europe in 1967. A wicked house band featuring horns, B3 organ and backing vocals. An ever-changing lineup of righteous soul talent, young and old. Each show a one-of-kind soul happening, leaving band members and audience spent and exhilarated.Over time, Otis shows have developed their own distinct identity. The essence remains, but the format has tightened. The show is slightly shorter, concentrating the spectacle even more and leaving room for special guest opening acts to pre-heat the crowd. The revue aspect now tilts more heavily toward the main featured singer. More Otis original songs are making their way into the set. (The band’s debut album of original soul music drops this fall.) This is the beginning of an explosive new phase of the project. Come get with it. Keep soul alive.

BART DAVENPORT

There’s no convenient handle to describe the amazing Bart Davenport. “Icon” comes to mind, but the word seems too inflated for such an unpretentious, relatable cat. Whatever. Bart’s a devilishly talented writer, musician and performer, whose earned the devotion of fans all around the planet.

The love connection between Bart Davenport and Otis is the real thing. The second-ever Otis show, back in 2013, featured Bart. He’s performed multiple times with the band since then, in SF and LA, with equally emotional results. It is a very special occasion indeed when Bart sets aside his original music and dips into his deep bag of soul with Otis.

THE BOARS

The Boars are four blokes from SF. When they’re not watching TV, they’re thinking about TV, sausages and beer. Up on stage, they blast out homemade 60's garage RnB rave-ups and rawk nuggets.
